What did Ajit Agarkar say on Surya being removed from captaincy?

Actually, recently Suryakumar Yadav has been removed from T20 captaincy. Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the new captain in his place. Now on this decision, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar said, ‘In the last few years, we have closely watched the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer. He has successfully captained different franchises. Apart from this, his personal performance has also been excellent.

Taking his point forward, Agarkar said for Iyer that he was very close to being included in the World Cup team and in my view was a strong contender for captaincy. As far as removal of Suryakumar Yadav from captaincy is concerned, this decision was not easy. The main reason for his exclusion from the T20 team is his continuous poor form.
