Ram Charan’s Peddi crosses Rs 180 crore in two days

Ram Charan’s sports action drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has stormed the global box office with collections of over Rs 181.8 crore in just two days. Released on Thursday, the film opened with Rs 135.36 crore and added Rs 46.44 crore on day two.

New Delhi: “Peddi”, featuring Ram Charan, has earned over Rs 180 crore at the global box office in two days of its release.

The sports action drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, released in theatres across the country on Thursday. It also features Shiva Rajkumar and Janhvi Kapoor.


Production banner Vriddhi Cinemas shared the box office collection on its official Instagram handle on Saturday. The film opened with Rs 135.36 crore and went on to earn Rs 46.44 crore on the following day at the box office. The total collection stands at Rs 181.8 crore at the global box office.

Set in 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh, “Peddi” follows the journey of a lower-caste villager who turns to wrestling to win recognition and dignity for his community.

Actors Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani feature in pivotal roles.

The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, co-produced by Ishan Saksena under IVY Entertainment, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

The music has been composed by AR Rahman.
