Big action by STF in Sandeshkhali, weapon recovered from TMC leader’s pond!

On Saturday morning, the Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal Police recovered a huge cache of arms and cartridges hidden in the pond of a Trinamool Congress leader at Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district. The officers provided this information.

Based on information received from a tip-off, STF investigators conducted a raid and search operation in the area on Saturday morning. During the search, officers found a cache of weapons in the pond. However, the owner of the pond, TMC leader and former regional party president Robin Das, and his brother Gopal Das have fled the area.

The investigators reached the house of Das brothers in Sandeshkhali. It is said that both of them are very close to the arrested TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan. During the raid, his house and the surrounding area were also searched.

It is being told that a huge quantity of weapons were recovered at that time. It is believed that these weapons were collected with the aim of creating unrest in the area. As soon as the news spread, there was a stir in the area and people started gathering in large numbers.

During this operation, Central Police Force personnel were also present along with STF. After the recovery of weapons, a massive search operation is still going on in the entire area. These two brothers have been accused of committing atrocities against local residents, including BJP workers, for a long time. Police are searching for the accused TMC leader and his brother.

After getting the weapons, BJP has intensified its attack on TMC. BJP MLA Sajal Ghosh said, “Earlier, fishes used to come out of the pond. Had it not been for TMC, I would not have known that bullets, bombs and guns could also come out. They are truly the ninth wonder of the world.”

The BJP leader further said, “Every day it is being proved that they have taken the state of West Bengal to the brink of ruin. Had the election results been different and TMC had won, these weapons would not have been in the pond. Common people would have been attacked with these weapons. I would appeal to the government that these Trinamool leaders should not be allowed to come out of jail even for a day after being arrested.”
