Sourav Ganguly Denies Reports Of Demanding Yusuf Pathan’s Resignation: Did Mamata Banerjee send Sourav Ganguly and demand resignation from Yusuf Pathan? Dada denied the news
New Delhi. Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly has denied the reports in which it was being claimed that Mamata Banerjee, through him, had sought the resignation of former cricketer and TSM MP from Baharampur, Yusuf Pathan. Ganguly, who is also known by the nickname ‘Dada’, has said in a letter to media organizations that all such allegations are completely baseless. He has requested not to believe in such rumors and speculations. It was being said that former Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wanted Yusuf Pathan to resign from the post of MP so that Mamata Banerjee could contest from the same constituency in the upcoming by-election.

It was also said in the media report that Yusuf Pathan has refused to resign, ignoring Mamata Banerjee’s request. In this entire matter, Ganguly has clearly said that neither did he receive any such message from Mamata Banerjee nor did he ever talk to Yusuf Pathan in this regard. Ganguly appealed to the media and said that before printing or showing any news, it is necessary to check its authenticity. Publishing news without knowing the truth is malicious.

Saurav said that I have never been involved in political matters at any level. Let us tell you that in the assembly elections held in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee herself did not save her seat and in Bhawanipur she was defeated by BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari. After coming to power, infighting started in TMC and about 60 MLAs have formed a separate faction against Mamata Banerjee. There is also discussion that many MPs of the party are now planning to leave Mamata Banerjee.
