Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke demonstrated for 5 hours at Jantar Mantar regarding paper leak cases. While addressing the youth in the demonstration organized amid tight security at Jantar Mantar, he raised serious questions on the education system and examination system. In his address, Abhijit Deepke reiterated the demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and said that the Education Minister should resign within 5 days otherwise he will protest again at Jantar Mantar next Saturday. Abhijeet had returned to Delhi from America on Saturday morning itself. He reached Jantar Mantar directly from the airport.

Sonam Wangchuk also participated in the protest along with Abhijeet.

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk also joined the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday. After his presence, the crowd at the protest site increased further and enthusiasm was seen in the atmosphere. The demonstration is being organized at Jantar Mantar, where a large number of people have gathered with their demands. Keeping in view the security arrangements, the police has maintained strict vigil in the entire area. During this, Sonam Wangchuk expressed gratitude to the Central Government for granting permission for the demonstration.

He said that getting the opportunity to raise voice in a democratic manner is a positive sign and it strengthens the process of dialogue. Wangchuk described his presence at the protest as a “message of goodwill” and said it was important to channelize the energy of the youth in the right direction. Apart from this, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka was also seen with Abhijeet. Ashutosh has passed out from IIT Kanpur. Had returned to India from London only last year.

More than 1000 soldiers were deployed, strictness at border points

In view of CJP’s protest, security was increased at Indira Gandhi Airport, main railway station, bus station and border points of Delhi. More than 1000 police personnel were deployed at pre-determined points. Instructions were given to maintain law and order in markets and sensitive areas.
