Cow protection campaign of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda in Saifai got SP’s support, targeted the government

Etawah. Jyotish Peethadheeshwar Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati was given a grand welcome in Saifai of Etawah district of UP. A unique union of politics and religion was seen in this program, where Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav and senior SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav not only congratulated Shankaracharya but also reiterated their commitment to his resolve for cow protection.

Shankaracharya’s sharp attack on the government

The program was mainly dominated by the statement of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati. Expressing concern over the plight of cow-seva and cow-shalas, he strongly attacked the present government and administration. Shankaracharya said that cow is not an ordinary animal, it should be given the status of a mother. Cow slaughter should be a punishable offence.

He alleged that the present administration is making every possible effort to stop his Go-Seva Yatra. Taking aim at BJP, he said that cow slaughter has increased during the rule of those who came to power by calling themselves cow devotees.
