It should never make anyone feel uncomfortable or insulted. We have taken the reactions that have emerged regarding some scenes of Peddi seriously.

I have always respected women, be it on screen or in real life. It was never our intention to objectify or disrespect any female character. If any part of the film felt that way, we respect those sentiments, understand the concerns being raised and sincerely apologize for it.

After reviewing the feedback, we have decided to make changes to the relevant sections. Cinema evolves through its engagement with the audience and it is our responsibility as storytellers to be mindful of changing viewpoints and sensitivities.

Every woman deserves respect, dignity and worth. We are committed to telling stories that celebrate strong characters and uphold these values.

Thank you to everyone who shared their views with honesty and openness.”
