British pop sensation has made a surprising confession about how she once almost ended up dating Prince Harry.
Speaking on The Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill on Friday, June 5, Perrie Edwards of Little Mix revealed that her bandmates had previously tried to arrange a setup between her and the Duke of Sussex at a royal event.
Perrie recalled meeting Harry backstage at the Royal Variety Performance, noting that she was single at the time.
“I was single at the time and the girls were like ‘Oh, you and Prince Harry,’ and I was like ‘Give it a rest,'” she said, while calling the prince “really nice.”
Although she admitted the setup would have been a memorable story, the Forget About Us hitmaker quickly dismissed her bandmates’ attempts.
“Not saying that Prince Harry is anyone, we love Prince Harry! But you know what I mean, at the time it was like ‘Oh, you’re single and he’s single…'” she added.
Edwards agreed that Prince Harry was known for his good looks in his earlier years.
“Well, he was for a royal! Like drinking and partying and having a good old time that was a bit frowned upon,” she remarked.
The You Go Your Way singer’s Little Mix bandmates have long spoken publicly about trying to arrange a match for her with the Duke.
Former member Jesy Nelson told the BBC in 2015, “Harry, if you’re listening, Perrie fancies you. She’s single, you’re single, let’s hook this up.”
In addition to Nelson, Jade Thirlwall also spoke about a photo in which she is seen shaking Harry’s hand, saying she would have been open to dating him as well.
“Oh, I’m actually shaking his hand there. Maybe I was trying to give him some eye contact, do you know what I mean?” she told Cosmopolitan.

While Little Mix is currently inactive as a group and on an indefinite hiatus, Perrie Edwards has been promoting her new single Passenger Princesswhich was released on May 29, 2026.
