Weather Update: Trouble starts again in Delhi-NCR from tomorrow, IMD issues heat wave alert, know when will you get relief
Delhi-NCR Weather Update: The pleasant weather is about to end in Delhi-NCR. There was a lot of relief from the heat due to the recent rains, but this relief is going to end soon. The weather was extremely hot on Sunday also. Although the sun is not strong but there is sufficient humidity. The heat is going to increase in Delhi from tomorrow i.e. 8th June. The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert for the entire North India including Delhi NCR.
The south-west monsoon is advancing rapidly over the southern and north-eastern parts of the country. However, this speed of monsoon has not yet reached North India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that large parts of Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan will remain in the grip of extreme heat and heat wave for the next several days.
Light rain on June 11-12
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of isolated light rain, thunder and strong winds in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab during June 11-12. In these areas, winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, while the speed of gusts can reach 60 kilometers per hour.

8 to 11 heat wave alert
The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave warning in many areas of Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab between June 8 and 11. There is a possibility of the day temperature increasing again, due to which people may have to face both humidity and heat. However, scattered rain is likely over eastern Uttar Pradesh during June 10 to 12, while isolated rain may occur over western Uttar Pradesh on June 11-12. Despite this, there is a possibility of heat wave in Eastern Uttar Pradesh from 9 to 10 June and in Western Uttar Pradesh from 9 to 11 June.
Chances of storm in Rajasthan from today
The weather in Rajasthan remains the most challenging. Strong dust storm may occur over Western Rajasthan during June 7, where wind speed may reach 50 to 60 km per hour with gusts up to 70 km per hour. After this, there is a possibility of severe heat wave in western Rajasthan from 8th to 12th June. Whereas in East Rajasthan, there may be sporadic rain during June 6 to 12 and strong winds at the speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour from June 7 to 12.

There will be relief in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh
Intermittent rain may continue in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh from June 7 to 12. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Himachal Pradesh during June 6-8 and June 11-12 and in Uttarakhand from June 6 to 12.
Condition of MP-Chhattisgarh
Rain and thunderstorm activities are likely to continue in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha region till June 12. In Eastern and Western Madhya Pradesh till June 10, while in Vidarbha, strong winds at a speed of 40-50 kilometers per hour may occur with thunderstorms for the next three days. Similar weather may persist in Chhattisgarh from June 8 to 12.
Where is monsoon?
The south-west monsoon is advancing rapidly in the country. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon reached west-central and east-central parts of the Arabian Sea, parts of Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, most parts of Tamil Nadu, many areas of southwest, west-central and northeast Bay of Bengal as well as Mizoram and Manipur on June 6.
