Rishabh Pant kept playing even after being out

Afghanistan had a great opportunity to dismiss Rishabh Pant but the team missed the opportunity. Azmatullah Omarzai was bowling in the 89th over of the first innings. The ball touched the edge of Pant’s bat and ended up in the gloves of the wicketkeeper. Afghanistan players appealed but the umpire declared Pant not out. After this, Afghanistan had a chance to send Pant to the pavilion after taking review but the team missed it. Wicketkeeper officer Zajai assured the captain that the ball had not been hit by the bat. Later Ultra Edge revealed that the ball had touched the outer edge of the bat.

Rishabh Pant played a brilliant innings

Rishabh Pant is not the vice-captain in the match against Afghanistan. In such a situation, it was very important for him to show his strength with the bat in this match. Batting in his own style, he took the Afghan bowlers to task. In this innings, Pant faced 121 balls and played a memorable inning of 81 runs.
