Trump administration’s AI advisor Sriram Krishnan resigns, focus on challenges!

Sriram Krishnan, one of the most talked about Indian-American technology advisors in the Trump administration, is to leave his role in the White House. For the last 18 months, he was playing a key role in formulating the Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy of the administration.

In a statement shared on social media, Krishnan said that he will take a break for some time and then work on the major AI-related challenges facing America.

He wrote, “I am leaving my role at the White House at the end of this month. After a short period of rest, I will work to help solve the biggest AI challenges facing America.”

Krishnan described his service in the government as ‘the greatest honor of his life’ and said it has been a matter of pride for him to work under President Donald Trump. Without his leadership we would not have been ahead in the AI ​​race.

Krishnan also thanked White House AI and crypto advisor David Sachs. “His continued advocacy has been and will continue to be vital to keeping America at the forefront of AI,” he wrote.

Krishnan said he played a role in promoting America’s AI interests internationally. For this he participated in various AI conferences and diplomatic meetings.

“We promoted American AI technology and systems with our allies through participation in a number of events, including AI conferences in France and India, and official visits to Britain and the Middle East,” he wrote.

Talking about the future, Krishnan said that the rapidly growing world of AI is bringing many new challenges.

“Over the past 18 months, I have had the opportunity to observe from close quarters the important AI challenges that the United States and its allies are facing,” he said.

He added, “Whether it’s energy, data centers, or bringing the benefits of AI to ordinary Americans, we face many tough challenges that must be solved together.”

Krishnan said that now he will focus on building such institutions that can help America and its allies deal with these challenges.

Responding to his announcement, David Sachs praised Krishnan’s contribution and said that he would continue to advise the administration despite being out of the government.

“It has been my great honor to work so closely with you over the past 18 months,” Sachs wrote.

He said, “Your capabilities are truly unique. A combination of deep technical understanding of AI, excellent knowledge of policies, excellent strategic thinking and diplomatic skills is seen in very few people.
