Lucknow, 7 June. After the increase in the price of LPG gas cylinder, the opposition is once again attacking the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Earlier, the Congress party posted from its official ‘X’ handle, “The whip of ‘Inflation Man Modi’ has come again. Now the domestic gas cylinder has been made costlier by Rs 29. Modi’s plan is clear – collect from the public, fill the coffers of the rich friend.” Let us tell you that government oil companies have increased the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 29. With this, the price of cylinder in Delhi has increased from Rs 913 to Rs 942.
The new price of domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi will come into effect from today i.e. June 7. Earlier on June 1, the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder were also increased. Oil companies had increased the price of commercial LPG by Rs 42. Including this increase in June, there has been a significant increase in the price of commercial LPG cylinders in the last five months. In February, the price of commercial LPG was increased by Rs 49.
After this there was another increase of Rs 115 in March. Recently, the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) was also increased by Rs 2 per kg in Delhi and surrounding areas. From May 15, CNG prices were increased by a total of Rs 6 per kg through four separate amendments.
