Bulldozer Action In Jaipur: Bulldozer action on many structures including Noorani Mosque and two temples in Jaipur, police deployed in large numbers, internet closed


New Delhi. Big bulldozer action is going on in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur. The process of demolishing the illegal part of Noorani Masjid with bulldozer has started in Malviya Nagar, Jaipur. Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) started the work of demolishing the illegal part of Noorani Masjid from 7 am on Monday. A large number of police have been deployed for this action. To avoid any untoward incident during the bulldozer action, internet has been closed in and around Jaipur from midnight on Sunday. Internet service will remain closed till 12 midnight on June 9.

Noorani Masjid was closed after Isha prayers on Sunday night. Ki from the mosque committee was not present when the bulldozer operation started. The Mosque Committee has called this action wrong and arbitrary. Noorani Mosque was built in 1981. Due to widening of the road, the constructions around it were first demolished. Now along with the Noorani Mosque, a tomb, Satsang Bhawan and two small temples are also to be demolished. There is a ban on people going around Noorani Masjid. Noorani Masjid area and all the areas of Jaipur city are being monitored through drone cameras.

To maintain peace in Jaipur city, police has also conducted flag march in many areas. Jaipur administration has warned that if rumors are spread during the demolition of Noorani Masjid, then strict action will be taken against those concerned. Police and administration are keeping an eye on social media. According to JDA, Noorani Masjid was built illegally on leased land. At the same time, Noorani Masjid Committee says that they had built this religious place by purchasing land from the housing society. This matter has also taken a political color. Congress has expressed protest against the demolition of Noorani Masjid. It is being told that the process of demolishing illegal parts and other structures of Noorani Masjid will be completed by late Monday evening.
