Heavy fall in global markets, crude oil rises under pressure of US Asian indices

New Delhi. Due to increasing tension in West Asia and rise in the price of crude oil, there are signs of weakness in the global market today. US markets closed with a big fall during the last session.

Dow Johns Futures also seems to be trading with weakness today. European markets closed with mixed results after trading under pressure during the previous session. There is generally selling pressure in the Asian market today.

US markets closed with a big fall during the last session due to strong weakness in technology stocks. The Dow Johns Industrial Average fell 695.15 points, or 1.35 percent, to close at 50,866.78.

Similarly, the S&P 500 index fell by 200.57 points or 2.64 percent and ended the last session’s trading at the level of 7,383.74 points. Apart from this, Nasdaq closed at the level of 25,709.43 points with a weakness of 1,121.53 points or 4.18 percent.

Whereas Dow Johns Futures is currently seen trading with a decline of 0.13 percent i.e. 50,798.51 points.

European markets continued to trade under pressure during the last session. However, due to last minute buying, European markets closed with mixed results, with the FTSE index closing at 10,368.05 points with a slight rise of 0.07 percent.

On the other hand, the CAC index ended the previous session’s trading at 8,218.24 points with a weakness of 0.32 per cent. Apart from this, DAX index closed at the level of 24,759.05 points with a decline of 185.90 points or 0.75 percent.

There is generally selling pressure in the Asian market today. The indices of eight out of nine markets in Asia are trading in the red with a decline, while one index remains firmly in the green. The only gift in the Asian market, Nifty is trading at the level of 23,217 points with a rise of 119.50 points or 0.52 percent.

On the other hand, the Straits Times Index is trading at the level of 4,977.50 points with a weakness of 72.56 points or 1.43 percent. Similarly, the SET Composite Index has fallen by 0.71 percent to the level of 1,571.32 points.

A huge decline has been recorded in the Kospi index today. At present this index has slipped 371.71 points or 4.55 percent to the level of 7,788.88 points.

Similarly, Nikkei index has reached the level of 64,175 points with a weakness of 2,413.12 points or 3.62 percent. Apart from this, Taiwan Weighted Index fell by 1,449.35 points or 3.22 percent to the level of 43,621.59 points.

Jakarta Composite Index fell 142.92 points or 2.55 percent to 5,451.85 points, Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.26 percent to 3,976.83 points and Hang Seng Index was trading at 24,673 points with a weakness of 288.95 points or 1.16 percent.
