From Jan Dhan to Ayushman… PM Modi counted 12 years of development –
Knews Desk- Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the major achievements of the government before the countrymen on the occasion of completion of 12 years of poor welfare and public welfare programs of the Central Government. He said that the main objective of various schemes launched in the last 12 years has been to extend the benefits of development to the last person of the society and to provide him a dignified life.
The Prime Minister said that the poor, deprived and needy sections have always been at the center of the government’s policies and schemes. Referring to schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission and Ayushman Bharat, he said that these initiatives have brought positive change in the lives of crores of people.
PM Modi said that inspired by the spirit of “Antyodaya”, the government tried to ensure that the benefits of development reached even those who remained away from the mainstream for decades. According to him, the objective of the schemes is not only to provide facilities but also to provide opportunities, respect and self-reliance to the people.
He also described the increasing use of technology as a major achievement of the government. According to the Prime Minister, government assistance is reaching the accounts of beneficiaries directly through digital platforms and direct benefit transfer system. This has reduced the role of corruption and middlemen, increased transparency and strengthened people’s trust.
The Prime Minister said that this journey of poor welfare is no longer limited to only government schemes, but has become a comprehensive campaign of human empowerment. He expressed confidence that the country is moving rapidly towards achieving the goal of a developed India on the strength of public participation and good governance.
