IND vs AFG: Afghanistan’s batsmen bowed before Manav-Sundar, won the test by an innings and 300 runs.
Ind Vs Afg Test MAtch Result: India defeated Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs in the only Test match played at the Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium. After being bundled out for 152 runs in the first innings, Afghanistan was forced to follow on. In the second inning, the condition of the visiting team remained worse and the entire team was limited to 112 runs.
Sediqullah Atal and Abdul Malik gave a steady start to Afghanistan in the second innings after coming out to follow on and added 42 runs for the first wicket. Abdul was out after scoring 8 runs, while Atal became the victim of Washington Sundar after scoring 42 runs in 80 balls.
Washington Sundar took 4 wickets
Gurbaz could not show anything special with the bat even in the second innings and was out after scoring 24 runs. Rahmat Shah, who scored a half-century in the first innings, could score only 13 runs in the second innings. Captain Shahidi could score only 5 runs, while Azmatullah Umarzai returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Afsar Zazai was out after scoring 8 runs, while Kharoti could score only 6 runs. Mohammad Saleem was out without opening the account and Ashraf did not come to bat due to injury. In the second innings, Washington Sundar bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets. Mohammad Siraj and Manav Suthar took one wicket each.
Gill and Rahul’s century
Earlier, India declared the first innings after scoring 564 runs losing 8 wickets due to the century innings of KL Rahul (100 runs) and Shubman Gill (126 runs). Sai Sudarshan (81 runs), Rishabh Pant (81 runs) and Washington Sundar (52 not out) also played half-centuries.

In response, the entire Afghanistan team was limited to 152 runs. Rahmat Shah scored the maximum 60 runs on behalf of the team. However, he could not get support from the rest of the batsmen from the other end. On the basis of first innings, the Indian team took a huge lead of 412 runs.
