Cockroach Janta Party Announces Second Agitation; Check Date & Venue

Pune: Following the encouraging support from students and youth at its Jantar Mantar protest in the national Capital on Saturday, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced another agitation, reiterating the demand for Union Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.

The second protest will be held in Pune on June 11, the movement announced on its X handle, which was shared by its founder Abhijeet Dipke.

“Cockroaches will demand Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation in Maharashtra’s educational capital Pune. How many Pune cockroaches will join?” the CJP said on Monday.

The protest will take place at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) at 4 pm on Thursday.

“Let’s meet in Pune! Hail Maharashtra!” Dipke said.

The group, which started as a satirical online movement, has been seeking Pradhan’s resignation over alleged irregularities in CBSE results and NEET-UG paper leak.

Dipke had issued a 5 pm ultimatum on June 6 for Pradhan’s resignation, before revising it to a seven-day deadline for the Central government.

He also said protests will be staged in various states and cities in India if Pradhan does not resign by June 13.

“Earlier I said that if Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign till Saturday (June 13), the agitation will go on a wider scale. Going in that direction, if Pradhan won’t resign, I will personally go to different cities and states and undertake protests with a demand for his resignation,” Dipke said in a video posted on his official X handle on Sunday night.
