Indian actor R. Madhavan has shared the secret of his 27-year-long successful marriage to wife Sarita.
The actor, who has starred in many successful movies and worked with multiple Bollywood actresses, said he remains loyal to his wife only.
The 3 Idiots star credited loyalty, family values and mutual trust for their lasting bond.
Speaking with Movie danger about his long marriage, he said “I think it’s the easy way out to remain loyal. There are other aspects of my life that I need to put my energies in. Also, I think to be loyal is a family trait.”
The 56-year-old, who recently starred in blockbuster Dhurandharsaid he is a fearful “Madrasi middle-class man” who goes home to his wife “as opposed to giving an excuse on why I am not there.”
The actor explained that despite working alongside some of the industry’s most admired stars, he has always valued returning home to his wife and family.
Madhavan also shared the advice he received form filmmaker Mani Ratnam who told him to “don’t keep testing it to see how much she loves you. Just let it be.”
