Asad Ali U14 Cricket Tournament: Great victory of Gujarat Cricket Institute (A) Gujarati

Ahmedabad: In the prestigious ‘Asad Ali U14 Cricket Championship Season-2’ being played in the city, Gujarat Cricket Institute (GCI) ‘A’ team continued its excellent performance and won against Savita Sports Academy. In this league match played between the two teams, Gujarat Cricket Institute won the match by playing an impressive game in both batting and bowling fields. GCI team won by 84 runs.

At the beginning of the match, the captain of Gujarat Cricket Institute (A) took a bold decision of winning the toss and batting first. The team’s openers and middle-order batsmen presented a disciplined batting pattern and scored a strong score on the scoreboard in the stipulated overs. The bowlers of Savita Sports Academy had failed to stop the runs in the beginning, taking full advantage of this, the batsmen of GCI (A) maintained the run rate by hitting attractive shots towards the four corners of the field. GCI’s bestman Yuvansh Jain scored 51 runs, Vikas Chauhan scored 30 runs and Man Patel scored 21 runs. GCIA had scored 202 runs losing nine wickets in 50 overs. Savita Sports Academy’s Hasta Patel took five wickets, Lakshya took 3 wickets and Shayal Modi took one wicket.

Savita Sports Academy, which set out to chase the target of 203, had a weak start. The bowlers of Gujarat Cricket Institute (A) did not give any opportunity to the batsmen of the opposing team to settle down by bowling accurately on line and length. Due to wickets falling at regular intervals, the Savita Sports Academy team came under pressure and ultimately fell short of the target, failing to maintain the run pace. The entire team was all out for 118 runs. Hast Patel had scored the highest 29 runs. While GCI bowler Tirth Patel took 3 wickets, Man Patel and Het Patel took 2 wickets each and Shlok Patel and Arnav Desai took 1 wicket each.
