On his latest Truth Social on Monday, Trump wrote, “Israel and Iran both want an immediate ceasefire. Final peace negotiations are moving forward, just don’t let stupidity or ignorance stand in the way of peace.”
He further said, “The blockade will remain in full force and effect until a final agreement is reached. Things should move forward quickly.” This means that some result may emerge soon to curb the attacks. Expressed hope that both sides will play their role in ending the conflict.
In an earlier short post, Trump had in just one sentence asked Iran-Israel to stop the shooting immediately.
On Sunday, Iran fired several missiles at Israel. Tehran attacked Hezbollah, considering the attack a ceasefire violation. After this Israel also started targeting Iran.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also said that it is very important for all parties in the Middle East to return to the ceasefire. “I am extremely concerned about a resumption of violence. It is very important that all parties again adhere to the ceasefire,” Starmer said.
He further said, “Serious negotiations are underway towards a permanent peace. It is vital that we give these efforts every opportunity to succeed, as this conflict has an impact on the entire world, including the United Kingdom. I want to say to all parties that we all have a responsibility to restore the ceasefire and our position on this must be absolutely clear.”
