My Adventures with Superman Season 3: Where to watch, release time, episode count, cast updates and everything we know so far
Get ready to soar back over Metropolis! The delightful anime-inspired take on the Man of Steel is officially flying back into our living rooms. Following the high-stakes, emotionally gripping finale of its sophomore run, Adult Swim and Warner Bros. Discovery have locked down the return of My Adventures with Superman Season 3.
The Daily Planet’s favorite trio is back, but things are getting significantly more crowded—and dangerous—for our favorite found family. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming third season.
Where to Watch & Release Time
My Adventures with Superman Season 3 will officially premiere on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Because of the unique late-night broadcasting nature of the network, the distribution strategy handles times and platforms across a two-tier layout:
- Cable Broadcast (Adult Swim): The season kicks off on television on the evening of Saturday, June 13 at midnight ET/PT (12:00 AM). It will anchor the network’s legendary Toonami anime/action programming block.
- Streaming (Max): For cord-cutters, the episodes will drop for next-day streaming exclusively on Max starting Sunday, June 14, 2026.
- International Viewers: Across Europe, Latin America, and other global markets, the season will begin rolling out on Max (or regional HBO Max channels) concurrently starting June 14.
Episode Count
Following the exact structural footprint established by the first two seasons, Season 3 will consist of a tight, hyper-focused order of 10 episodes. The series will air on a standard week-to-week release schedule, meaning fans will get to ride out the new story arc all the way through the summer.
Season 3 Cast Updates: A Stacked Hero & Villain Lineup
The core voice cast is back in the booth, but the canvas is expanding to introduce legendary figures from the deep pages of DC Comics lore.
The Returning Main Trio & Allies
- Jack Quaid as Clark Kent / Superman
- Alice Lee as Lois Lane
- Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen
- Kiana Madeira as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl: Following her massive introduction and redemption arc in Season 2, Kara is officially joining the main “found family” squad in Metropolis.
Massive New Cast & Villain Additions
Showrunners Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher have completely revamped the opening sequence for Season 3 to tease a massive, dangerous lineup of adversaries, including some incredibly high-profile casting announcements:
Darren Criss (Glee) joins the universe to voice Conner Kent / Superboy.
Max Mittelman will step into the spotlight to voice Hank Henshaw / Cyborg Superman, who is poised to act as one of the immediate, destructive “big bads” right out of the gate.
Lex Luthor (also voiced by Mittelman) will continue to loom incredibly large in the background, executing his strategic technological rise.
Everything We Know About the Plot So Far
The creative team has explicitly confirmed that Season 3 will be heavily “digesting” the iconic 1993 DC comic book storyline, Reign of the Supermen.
However, showrunner Jake Wyatt has emphasized that the show will not be a straight-up, predictable retread of the source material. Instead, the narrative will take the core premise of that comic—multiple individuals stepping forward to challenge or claim the mantle of Superman—and spin it into a modern, coming-of-age framework.
Key story drivers heading into Season 3 include:
- The Struggle of Identity: With the arrival of characters like Cyborg Superman and Superboy, the core thematic question of the season will center on: “What actually makes a Superman?” Clark will have to defend his name against those looking to manipulate his image.
- Kara’s Earthly Adjustment: After spending her life under the tight, manipulative thumb of Primus Brainiac, Kara Zor-El will spend the season navigating the chaotic, everyday normalcies of living on Earth, learning to balance human relationships alongside Clark, Lois, and Jimmy.
- A “More Mature” Direction: Interestingly, Season 3 marks the first block of episodes entirely conceptualized and written after the show officially shifted its permanent home from Cartoon Network to Adult Swim. While the series will maintain its bright, optimistic, and charming aesthetic, the writers have teased that the storylines will lean into slightly higher stakes and deeper emotional maturity.
