Next-Generation Hyundai i20 To Get 12.3-Inch Touchscreen Infotainment System

Another teaser video of the upcoming next-generation Hyundai i20 is now out. Unlike previous teasers, it shows an important detail inside the cabin- the infotainment system. The next-generation i20 will come with a large 12.3-inch central touchscreen.

Like the previous ones, this teaser has also surfaced on the official Youtube channel of Hyundai Motor Brazil. It is a short video that shows the infotainment screen up close. From what is visible, it seems to be a 12.3-inch unit. The second-generation Venue also has a 12.3-inch touchscreen.

The teaser reveals that the new i20 will have dual connected displays- a 12.3-inch touchscreeen and a digital driver’s display likely of the same size, arranged in a way that it looks like a large, single display. A similar setup can also be seen on the new Venue.

The driver’s display will have Venue-like user interface and fonts. The video also shows Apple Carplay on the touchscreen. It will most likely come with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Additionally., there will be support for Bluelink connected car features as well. We can also notice physical controls below the touchscreen, much like what we see on newer Hyundai cars.

The inclusion of these screens will elevate the cabin experience significantly. The outgoing i20 comes with a setup that feels basic in comparison. It has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a digital instrument cluster of the same size. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are both wired, unless you use a mirroring adapter.
