India A had reached 349 runs with the fifties of Prabhasimran, Tilak and Rituraj.
Opting to bat first at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, India A scored half-centuries from Prabhasimran, captain Tilak Verma (66 runs, 73 balls, five fours) and vice-captain Rituraj Gaikwad (66 runs, 80 balls, three fours), along with teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi (44 runs, 22 balls, nine fours) and Suryansh Shedge (40 runs, 27 balls, two fours). With aggressive hits (sixes, two fours) a huge score of 349 runs was scored for nine wickets in 49 overs. Due to light drizzle during the Indian innings, the match was reduced to 49 overs per team.

When the game was stopped for the last time due to rain, Afghanistan was 4 runs ahead of the target.

If we look at Afghanistan A’s innings, ‘Player of the Match’ captain Imran (75 not out, 70 balls, 2 sixes, 6 fours) and Hasan Isaakhil (34 runs, 29 balls, 6 fours) gave an aggressive start by adding 63 runs. Four partnerships of 70+ in Indian innings
Before this, four big partnerships of 70 plus were seen in the Indian innings. Vaibhav and Prabhasimran, who scored 44 runs at a strike rate of 200, added 74 runs in 43 balls, while Gaikwad and Prabhasimran, who scored a century against Sri Lanka A in the last match, made a partnership of 79 runs for the third wicket.
