Stone pelting on Lucknow Shatabdi Express, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat was traveling in the train.

Firozabad. An incident of stone throwing has come to light on Lucknow Shatabdi Express near Firozabad railway station in Uttar Pradesh late Thursday evening. Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat was also traveling in the same train. The police investigated around the incident site till late night. Police is busy investigating the matter.

There has been news of stones being thrown on the Shatabdi Express going from Lucknow to Delhi. Late Thursday evening, some unidentified anti-social elements targeted the train near Paimeshwar Gate between Makhanpur and Firozabad railway stations.

As soon as the matter came to light, there was panic among the railway administration and security agencies. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was also traveling in the same train. The Sangh chief was going to Delhi by Lucknow Shatabdi Express after attending a function in Kanpur. However, the Sangh chief is completely safe in this incident. There was no injury to him or any other passenger.

When the train reached Tundla station, RPF Inspector Awadhesh Goswami inspected the coach along with the team. Investigation has confirmed that only the outer glass is broken, all passengers are safe.

After getting information about this incident, top police officials, LIU and other agencies have started investigating the matter along with scanning the CCTV footage at the incident site. According to railway officials, union chief Mohan Bhagwat was traveling on seat number 39, 40 in E-1 coach.

In this regard, Senior Superintendent of Police Aditya Langhe says that an incident of stone throwing on the train has come to light. Seven police teams have been formed in this case. CCTV footage has been viewed. After investigating the case, whoever is accused will be arrested.
