‘Please help, the ship is sinking’, heart-wrenching audio of the Indian crew surfaced after the American attack.

New Delhi: An audio message that surfaced after the US military attack on an oil tanker near the coast of Oman has shocked everyone. An Indian crew member present on the ship appealed for help in a panicked voice and told that the ship was on fire and the danger of it sinking had increased. After this incident, concern has increased regarding maritime safety and the safety of Indian sailors.

Panic heard in SOS call

It is being told that after the attack on the tanker named MT Marivex, a sailor sent an emergency message. He said that the engine room of the ship has suffered serious damage and has started filling with water. In the audio, he is heard continuously asking for help and tells that all the 24 members present on the ship are Indian citizens. The crew member appealed to the authorities to provide assistance as soon as possible. Fear and helplessness could be clearly felt in his voice.

Why did America take action?

According to reports, this incident occurred amid rising tensions in the Middle East. The US Army claims that the tanker in question was moving towards the restricted area and was warned several times. After this, military action was taken to stop the ship. US officials say the aim of the attack was to disable the ship, not harm the crew. However, after this action the ship caught fire and the situation became serious.

All Indian sailors were evacuated safely

After receiving the SOS message, Indian and Omani officials immediately started the rescue operation. The Royal Air Force of Oman sent helicopters and safely evacuated all the 24 Indian sailors trapped on the ship. Officials confirmed that all the sailors are safe and have been evacuated to a safe place. This campaign is being considered a successful example of international cooperation.
