An extremely rare and bright golden colored ‘Golden Sambar’ has been seen here for the first time. This is the first sighting of such golden sambar within Sariska in wildlife history. The sight of golden sambar was caught on camera, even forest workers were surprised

According to information received from Forest Department sources, during regular patrolling of Sariska and monitoring of wildlife, the field staff suddenly noticed a unique creature roaming among the bushes. Usually sambar is dark brown or beige in color, but this sambar was completely bright golden in color, shining like gold in the sunlight. The forest personnel wasted no time and captured this rare moment in their cameras. Higher officials and wildlife experts say that this could be the result of a genetic mutation (Leucism or Albinism), due to which the skin and hair color of this Sambhar has become so unique and beautiful.

Sariska is becoming a stronghold of rare creatures, white peacock and chausingha have also been seen.

Sariska Tiger Reserve has been making a new identity for itself in the whole world for the site of rare species of animals for some time now. Even before the appearance of this golden Sambhar, many unique forms of nature have been seen here. Some time ago, a very beautiful and completely ‘white peacock’ was seen in the forests of Sariska, whose pictures were much discussed.
