Such leaders are not found in centuries, Rijiju called Modi an example!

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju offered prayers at a Buddhist temple on Lodhi Road as Prime Minister Narendra Modi became India’s longest serving elected Prime Minister. He said that the life of Prime Minister Modi is an example in itself, who has dedicated his life not for himself or his family, but in the name of the nation.

Speaking to news agency IANS, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “Today is a historic day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 4,399 days as an elected Prime Minister. It is a great privilege for him to complete the longest tenure.”

He said, “The big thing is that other people have become the Prime Minister, but during the tenure of Narendra Modi, India has taken the first step towards becoming a ‘developed nation’. India was poor at the time of gaining independence. We remained a poor nation for so many years. When Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014, he said that India will have to move with a goal. He set the goal of ‘Developed India’ and then steps have been taken to make India a ‘fully developed nation’ in 2047.”

Rijiju said, “I believe that society and the country get such a leader in centuries. No nation gets a leader and personality like Narendra Modi again and again. We pray for his health and long life. Modi ji does not live for himself, rather he lives for the country and the society. His life is an example in itself, of someone who has dedicated his life not for himself or his family, but in the name of the nation.”

The Union Minister also shared his experience of working with PM Modi. He said, “Negative forces are more in the 21st century. Everyone is trying to spoil or defame the good work. Even in such a situation, PM Modi inspired us to work with pure thoughts and faith. He has instructed us to keep working for the country.”

On comparison with other leaders, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “It is not right to compare Prime Minister Narendra Modi with anyone else. When Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru became the Prime Minister, he was not elected, rather Mahatma Gandhi had chosen him and appointed him as the Prime Minister. He was not a directly elected Prime Minister.”

He said, “In the initial years of independence, there was a huge wave in favor of Congress and people kept voting for them. At that time, Congress did not face much struggle. The question is that the country could not become a ‘developed nation’. Congress and people of one family earned a lot of name. They sat on the chair of the Prime Minister, but the country could not become developed.”

Rijiju further said, “I say that comparison should not be made, because after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, the goal of ‘Developed India’ was set in 2014 and work for it was started. We are getting very close to that point. It will be written forever in history that the first step for ‘Developed India’ was taken during the time of Prime Minister Modi. Due to his work and thinking, India has become a ‘developed nation’. No one can deny this, because this is the reality.”

At the same time, Kiren Rijiju also mentioned the achievements of the government in the last 12 years. He said, “The situation of the country has changed in 12 years. Connectivity has increased. Roads and highways have been built till the border areas. Electricity and water are reaching every house. Gas connections have been provided to every house. People are getting free ration. Many airports have been built in the states. Railway infrastructure has become strong. All this has been seen in 12 years.”
