New instructions for government teachers in Bihar, ban on those providing coaching and private tuition

Patna: The Education Department of Bihar Government has issued an important instruction for the teachers working in government schools. The department has made it clear that government teachers will no longer be able to study in any coaching institute, private tuition center or vocational educational institute. In this regard, orders have been sent to all the districts by the Directorate of Secondary Education.

Emphasis will be given on quality education

The department says that the first and most important responsibility of government teachers is to provide high quality education to the students studying in schools. In such a situation, if teachers devote time to personal coaching or tuition, it can affect the quality of education in schools. For this reason, a decision has been taken to strictly ban such activities.

Strict action will be taken if rules are not followed

In the instructions issued, district education officers have been asked to increase surveillance in their respective areas. He has been given the responsibility to ensure that no government teacher is associated with any coaching centre, private tuition or any professional educational institute. If a complaint is received about any teacher violating the rules and the allegations are found true in the investigation, then departmental action will be taken against him.

Why was this action taken

According to the Education Department, in recent years a large number of teachers have been appointed through Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). This has improved the availability of teachers in most government schools. In such a situation, the government wants that the teachers should completely concentrate on school education and provide a better educational environment to the students.

Complaints were being received continuously

Departmental officials say that complaints were being received continuously from various districts that some teachers are conducting or teaching private coaching and tuition outside the school hours. This has been considered against the service conditions and prescribed code of conduct. The Education Department has reiterated in its order that the main objective of government teachers is to do regular and effective teaching work in schools. Therefore, now matters related to coaching and private tuition will be closely monitored and strict action will be taken against those who break the rules.
