Facebook and Instagram stalled across the world, millions of users are facing problems, what is the reason?

Facebook and Instagram Down: The servers of social media platforms Facebook and Instagram are down. According to Jantari, Meta’s social media platforms suddenly went down on Friday evening. On other platforms, users faced problems in scrolling and posting. Millions of users all over the world including India are troubled by this technical problem. People are facing problems in accessing these apps since afternoon.

Many Facebook and Instagram users complained about this by posting on social media platform X. People say that they are automatically getting logged out of the account. There is a problem even after logging in again. Users say that the feed is not refreshing on Instagram. There is a problem loading new content, reels or stories on the platform. It is known that both these platforms belong to Meta only. At present no statement has come from the company.

Problems happening all over the world including India

Reports from users suggest that this problem is not limited to any particular region. People from many countries have reported such problems at almost the same time. Users from many cities in India also reported that they were facing problems in using Meta-owned platforms.

What is the problem?

According to Downdetector data, a total of 1,04,001 complaints were registered till 7:01 pm on June 12. Of these, 56% users are facing problems in using the Facebook app, 25% are facing problems in account login and 11% users are facing problems in accessing the Facebook website.

People’s reaction to X

“Facebook Down” on microblogging platform And “Instagram Down” Are trending. As soon as the glitches started in Facebook and Instagram, users started posting their complaints on X. A user wrote in his post that his Facebook account is automatically logging out.

Till the time of writing the news, there was no official statement from Meta regarding the reason for this outage. At present it is not clear when the services of Facebook and Instagram will be completely restored.
