New Scooter: Honda’s new HooRide 125 scooter launched, know its adventure look and mileage

New Scooter: Honda has been very cautious about its scooter portfolio in India. Many of the company’s scooters like Cliq, Aviator, Grazia, Navi and Activa e could not achieve success in the market as expected. However, Honda has a wide range of scooters in the global market. In this series, the company has introduced its new adventure-style scooter Honda HooRide 125 in China.

Honda HooRide 125 debuted
Honda HooRide 125 has been specially designed for the Chinese market. It has a 125cc liquid-cooled eSP+ engine used in Honda PCX 125. The design of the scooter is inspired by adventure motorcycles, making it look quite different and attractive from traditional scooters. The company claims that this scooter is capable of giving a mileage of up to 47.17kmpl.

Adventure bike inspired design
Talking about design, the look of HooRide 125 is very similar to Honda Africa Twin and ADV160. It has twin-pod LED headlights, C-shaped LED DRLs and a long smoked windscreen. Following the same design theme, attractive LED taillights have been installed at the rear.

Practical and stylish features
The front mudguard of the scooter is designed like the beak of an adventure bike, which gives it a distinct identity. It is a step-through scooter, which has a flat floorboard for easy storage of luggage. Apart from this, it also gets a single-piece seat with a high step-seat for the rear passenger.

Fuel tank and modern technology
The Honda HooRide 125 features a front-mounted fuel filler, while the 8.2-litre fuel tank is placed under the floorboard. This significantly increases the storage space under the seat. Talking about the features, keyless go system is available as standard in both the variants. Apart from this, advanced features like TPMS, 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, USB Type-A and Type-C charging port have been provided.

engine and price
The scooter has a 124.7cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine, which generates power of 11.2PS and torque of 11.7Nm. In terms of mileage, this scooter claims up to 47.17kmpl.

The price of Honda HooRide 125 in China starts from 12,980 Yuan (about Rs 1.83 lakh) and goes up to 14,680 Yuan (about Rs 2.07 lakh). However, at present the chances of its launch in the Indian market are considered very low.
