Kolkata. TMC chief Mamata Banerjee is getting shock after shock. Their 20 MPs and 64 MLAs have adopted a rebellious attitude. Meanwhile, leader of rebel TMC MPs Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has made a new claim about the numerical strength of her group. While leaving from Kolkata to attend the meeting of rebel TMC MPs in Delhi on Sunday, party MP from Barasat Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar claimed that the number of MPs in her favor will increase further.

Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, who reached Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, was asked by the media about the future strategy, but he did not say anything about it. However, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, a TMC rebel and once close to Mamata Banerjee, said that earlier she had given the number of MPs standing with her as 20. Whereas, this number is now going to be 22. If Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar’s claim is true, then Mamata Banerjee will be left with only 6 TMC MPs in the Lok Sabha. Earlier on Saturday, MP Sudip Bandopadhyay, close to Mamata Banerjee, had also decided to join the rebel camp.

TMC had 28 MPs in the Lok Sabha and 13 in the Rajya Sabha. Of these, 20 have adopted a rebellious attitude in the Lok Sabha. Whereas, 3 TMC MPs have resigned from Rajya Sabha. Due to this, the number of MPs of Mamata’s party in the Upper House has reduced to 10. TMC’s rebel Lok Sabha MPs are to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday. These MPs have demanded recognition of themselves as a separate group. At the same time, in the West Bengal Assembly, most of the TMC MLAs have rebelled under the leadership of Ritabrata Banerjee and Sandipan Saha. Ritabrata claims that he has 64 TMC MLAs with him. 80 MLAs of Mamata Banerjee’s party had won in the West Bengal Assembly elections.
