Brazil opens its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw with Morocco

New Delhi, 14 June 2026: 2026 FIFA World Cup Brazil started their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Morocco in the Group C match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup held in New Jersey, USA. Morocco’s Ismael Sibari scored the opening goal in the 21st minute, while Brazil’s Vinicius Junior scored the equalizer in the 32nd minute.

Earlier, the Group B match between Qatar and Switzerland in California, USA was also a 1-1 draw. Switzerland took the lead by scoring an early goal, but Qatar equalized with a counter strike at the end of the match.

Meanwhile, the match between Haiti and Scotland is going on. In other matches today, Australia will play Turkey in Group D at 9:30 am, while Germany will play Curacao in Group E at 10:30 pm.
