*Special training camp was organized for 204 BLOs and 21 supervisors under SRI in Amritsar North Assembly constituency*

Amritsar, As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, a special training camp was organized today in Amritsar North Assembly Constituency with the objective of smoothly and successfully completing the process of special correction in the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) Voter List. This training was successfully completed under the good leadership of Election Registration Officer (ERO) Smt. Inayat PCS. 204 BLOs and 21 supervisors of the area participated in this training camp. Election Law Officer Shri Varinder Kumar provided necessary help in sharing technical and administrative information during the training.

ERO Smt. Inayat PCS informed all the staff about the new guidelines of the Election Commission, which included creation of new votes (Form No. 6), deletion of votes (Form No. 7) and correction/change in the voter list (Form No. 8) under Special Curricular Correction.

During the training, the BLOs were specifically briefed about the rules for filling the enumeration forms correctly and conducting door-to-door counting of voters. Along with this, the importance of the declaration form given by the eligible voters and their detailed scrutiny was also explained, so that no form remains incomplete.

While imparting technical training, ALMT Amaninderjit Kohli, Kanungo and technical team imparted SIR training to BLOs. The staff was given detailed training on the correct use of the mobile application to carry out the SIR work digitally, so that the field data and the form could be uploaded without any mistakes.

Regarding the importance of a clean voter list, the officials instructed the staff that no eligible citizen should be deprived of voting during SIR and the voter list should be made completely clean and error-free. He said that under SIR, door-to-door counting and taking correct declarations is a very responsible job. All the staff present on this occasion assured that they will complete this important work of SIR on time and with full dedication.
