New Delhi. During the G7 Summit held in France, US President Donald Trump has once again given such a statement, which has sparked discussion at the international level. Before meeting Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, Trump said that if it were not for his support, Israel would not exist today. Also, he asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be more responsible in the matter of Lebanon.

Although Tehran has repeatedly insisted that any ceasefire deal with Washington should include Lebanon, Israel disagrees. According to reports, he wants to continue his military campaign against Hezbollah. Trump criticized the Israeli military’s campaign against the Hezbollah militant group.

Speaking to reporters during the G7 Summit in France, Trump said that the conflict between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah has been going on for a very long time and many people are being killed. Referring to the recent attack by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, Trump indicated that he was angry because this attack took place just before the announcement of an interim peace agreement between the US and Iran. Trump said that there is no need to tear down buildings every time when you are looking for someone, because there are a lot of people living in those apartments and not all of them are members of Hezbollah. President Trump emphasized America’s support for Israel and said that without America Israel would not exist. He further said that if he had not been involved, Tel Aviv would have been destroyed long ago.

Trump called the ongoing fighting in Lebanon a “small war” and described Hezbollah as “a little prick” that keeps raising its head. He said that even if Tel Aviv continues attacks on Beirut, the peace deal with Iran will remain in place. Trump said that he is not happy with the way Israel has handled the issue of Lebanon and Hezbollah. However, when reporters asked about his relationship with Netanyahu, Trump said that his relationship with him has been very good, but now Netanyahu will have to be more responsible in the matter of Lebanon.
