Fire broke out immediately after takeoff
According to the information received, this aircraft was on a regular testing flight. As soon as the plane took off from the runway at around 11:20 am on Monday morning, it suddenly went out of control and fell down. As soon as the plane hit the ground, a massive fire broke out, leaving no one on board a chance to recover. Officials have not yet disclosed whether any weapons were loaded on the plane at the time of the crash. Immediately after this accident, the entire airfield has been closed as a precautionary measure and other flights arriving there are being diverted to the nearest airbase.
possibility of technical failure
Investigation has been started to find out the actual cause of the accident, although the exact cause of the accident is not clear yet. According to initial estimates, a technical fault in the aircraft’s control system, engine or any equipment being tested could be the reason for this accident. Aviation safety expert Jeff Guzzetti says that the manner in which the plane fell immediately after takeoff, prima facie suggests a malfunction of the fly control system. However, he also clarified that the reason could be a malfunction in the control system after maintenance, complete failure of the engine or malfunction of any testing equipment, which would be clear only after a detailed investigation.

major aircraft testing center
The Edwards Air Force Base where this accident occurred is located about 161 kilometers north of Los Angeles. This base is considered to be the main center for testing and development of US Air Force aircraft. Here new aircraft, modern weapon systems, software and military equipment related to the defense sector are tested. Experts believe that such test flights are always riskier than normal operational flights. At present, Air Force teams are trying to search the debris and find the black box so that the main cause of the accident can be found out.
