Rahul Gandhi appealed to Gen Z, said – it is the responsibility of the government to secure the future of every youth, create such a roar that it is impossible to ignore.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has specifically appealed to Gen-Z before the student conference held in Kota, Rajasthan on Wednesday and said that the current Modi government at the Center is attacking the dreams of millions of youth. Gandhi said that every paper leak, cancellation of examinations and incomplete recruitment is not just a failure of the system, but it is an attack on millions of dreams. In a post on Twitter, he wrote, “My young and Gen Z friends, one thing is very clear in my mind and you should also keep it in your heart: it is the responsibility of the government to secure the future of every youth of India.

He further wrote that but responsibility and honesty – both these things are beyond the thinking of Modi government. Paper leaks, mismanagement of exams, canceled recruitments, skyrocketing fees, privatisation, scams – these are the ways in which it is breaking the dreams of lakhs of youth every day. Remember, the future of the youth will decide the future of the country. I wanted to tell you all this in detail. That is why I am calling upon you – let us convert the ‘students’ voice’ rising from every street, every town and every city of the country into a loud struggle cry in Kota.

Student conference in Kota on 17th June

The Congress leader will address the student conference on the topics of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Graduate (NEET-UG) exam paper leak, the Indian Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on-screen marking (OSM) system and unemployment. It will start on June 17 in Kota. After this, student conferences will be organized in Prayagraj, Patna and Delhi. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi posted on ‘X’ that I have one thing to say to every youth of the country – Today in this country, there is no reward for hard work, there is punishment for dreaming. Every paper leak, every canceled exam, every incomplete recruitment is not just a failure of the system, it is an attack on millions of dreams. He said, “I know you are tired. Are angry. But remember, when the government is not ready to listen, then the voice has to be raised. That’s why I am calling you all to Kota on 17th June. This is the echo of the students.

He called upon the youth to join the ‘Students’ Echo’ mega rally to be organized in Kota to fight for their rights.

Earlier, Gandhi shared a video on ‘X’, which was said to be from Patliputra railway station. In the video, crowd and chaos of candidates going to appear for police constable recruitment examination was visible. The candidates claimed that sufficient trains were not provided. Gandhi alleged that “the government spends billions of rupees on its billionaire friends, but cannot even provide safe travel to the students.” However, reacting to this video, East Central Railway said that this incident is not from Patliputra station. Railways said on ‘X’, “It is also clarified that no information has been received from any source regarding the death of any person. Please do not spread such rumors or misconceptions. Looking at the activities and condition of the person seen in the video, prima facie it appears that he may be unwell due to some medical problem or fatigue.”

Government runs special trains during elections

In his post, Rahul Gandhi further said that at the time of elections, this government runs special trains with all its might, but the students going to appear for the exams face crowding, suffocation and helplessness. He said, “What could be a bigger proof than this that the Modi government is not even ready to listen to the calls of the students. But I promise that we will take this voice to those deaf ears. Every student will get his rights and justice.” The Congress leader said that the voice of the youth will now become the clarion call of struggle.

Beginning of the first phase of the nationwide campaign

The Congress has announced that the first phase of the nationwide campaign against paper leaks and examination irregularities will begin from Kota on Wednesday, where Rahul Gandhi will address a series of student conferences. According to the party, the campaign aims to unite students transcending political ideologies and provide a platform for affected youth to share their experiences and demand accountability for the repeated exam failures and paper leak scams. After this, Rahul Gandhi will also address student conferences in Prayagraj (10 July), Patna (11 July) and New Delhi (14 July). These programs will include students, competitive examinees, youth organizations, academicians and people affected by alleged examination scams.
