Discount: If you are troubled by rising petrol prices and are thinking of buying a high mileage bike at low cost, then Hero MotoCorp has brought a special offer for you. The company has announced a direct discount of up to ₹ 4,000 on Splendor+ Flex Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel motorcycles equipped with its Flex Fuel technology.
This offer has been introduced with the aim of promoting the ethanol blending and alternative fuel policy of the government. However, this benefit will be available for a limited time, so interested customers may have to take a decision soon.
What was the price after discount?
After a discount of ₹4,000, the ex-showroom price of Hero Splendor+ Flex Fuel has come down to ₹78,710 from ₹82,710. Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel is now available for ₹ 68,792 instead of ₹ 72,792.
However, even after the discount, both these models remain slightly costlier than their standard petrol versions. The Splendor+ Flex Fuel costs around ₹1,153 more than the regular model, while the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel will cost customers around ₹9,315 extra compared to the standard version.
This special offer of the company is valid till July 2026.
What is Flex Fuel technology?
Hero’s Flex Fuel motorcycles are based on eco-friendly technology. They are designed to run on E20 (20% ethanol blended fuel) to E85 (85% ethanol blended fuel).
The biggest advantage of this technology is that it reduces dependence on petrol and also reduces emissions from the vehicle. Also, these motorcycles are considered ready for the increased use of alternative fuels in the future.
Engine and Performance
Both the bikes have a 97.2cc single-cylinder engine. However, to ensure better performance on high ethanol blend fuel, the company has made several technical changes to the fuel pump, fuel filter, engine management system and ECU.
This engine produces power of 8.44 hp and torque of 8.3 Nm. Hero claims that when run on E85 ethanol fuel, this engine is capable of delivering about 7% more power and 3% more torque compared to the regular petrol model.
There is a distinct identity in the design also
To make Flex Fuel models different from the normal versions, the company has given special graphics and badging in them. These new graphics give the bike a distinct and modern identity, making it a distinct presence on the road.
