Hong Kong property tycoon Mico Chung sells mansion for $13.4M

Aqua Sole Company sold the property at The Peak, a premium real estate are in the city, in a transaction completed on June 12, Land Registry records show, as reported by the Hong Kong Economic Times. Companies Registry filings show Chung and his wife, Nina Kan Souk-yin, are shareholders of Aqua Sole.

The company bought the property at 27 Plantation Road to Hu Hanyang in 1993 for HKD12 million. This means its value has risen nearly nine-fold in 33 years. Property agents’ listings show the 290-square-meter house has a garden and a parking space.

Chung and Kan are the latest wealthy and high-profile Hong Kong residents to sell luxury homes in the city.

In May, actor Nick Cheung sold a four-bedroom flat at Grenville House in the Mid-Levels area for HKD132 million, as reported by the South China Morning Post.

Actor and singer William Chan sold a 1,040-square-foot unit at The Pavilia Hill in North Point for HKD26.28 million, according to Centaline Property Agency. Chan bought the three-bedroom unit, which includes a terrace, in 2015.

Chung’s CSI Properties owns and manages about two million square feet of prime commercial property in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Macau. About 500,000 square feet was located in Central, including assets such as LL Tower, Central Crossing and DL Tower, according to the company’s website.

Its residential arm, Couture Homes, developed the luxury project Dukes Place in Jardine’s Lookout.
