This proposal was approved in the Bihar Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.
Relief received regarding the land of 11 Greenfield Township
There was earlier a ban on purchase, sale and transfer of land for the proposed 11 greenfield satellite townships in Bihar. Now the government has changed the rules giving relief in this. Under the new system, if the land owner faces any major need, he can choose to sell his land to the government.
Under what circumstances will you be able to sell land?
According to the government’s decision, permission to sell land can be given in case of family crisis, big expenses like marriage or other special circumstances. This will benefit those tenants who have to take decisions related to their land in case of sudden financial need.
Administrative officers got authority
After the cabinet decision, the concerned administrative officers have been given the authority to carry forward the process related to land acquisition. This will make it easier to settle the cases of land owners.
What will be the benefit to land owners?
This decision is expected to provide great relief to the land owners coming in the Greenfield Township area. Now they will get more options regarding their land in special circumstances. The aim of the government is, on the one hand, to take forward urban development projects, while on the other hand, it also aims to take into account the needs of land owners.
