This time the government has taken some strict steps to maintain transparency in the scheme. During the investigation, some suspicious and fake cases have been identified which can be immediately removed from the beneficiary list of PM Kisan Yojana. According to the new rules, people who have acquired ownership of any land after February 1, 2019, can be excluded from this list.

Additionally, if more than one member of the same family is availing the benefits of the scheme unfairly (e.g. both husband and wife are taking benefits together, or an adult and a minor member of the family are taking money together), then strict action can be taken against them. The process of sending money to such suspicious accounts has been stopped until their physical verification is completed at the ground level.

According to the official information given on PM Kisan Portal, it has been made completely mandatory for all the registered farmers associated with the scheme to get e-KYC done. Those eligible farmers who do not complete their e-KYC process on time will not be given this next installment of Rs 2,000 from the government.

If the farmer brothers wish, they can complete the OTP based e-KYC process online for free by visiting the PM Kisan website. For this, they will only have to enter their Aadhaar number and then complete the verification by submitting the OTP received on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar. Those farmers who are not comfortable with the online process can also get their e-KYC done through biometric authentication by visiting their nearest Common Service Center (CSC).

The first and easiest method is OTP based, which farmers can complete in a few minutes by visiting the PM Kisan Portal at home through their smartphones.

The second method is biometric authentication, for which farmers will have to go to their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or State Service Center, where they can complete this process through their thumb or fingerprint.

The third and very modern method is face authentication. This excellent facility has been made available on the official mobile app of PM Kisan. Through this app, farmer brothers are completing their e-KYC just by scanning their face and lakhs of farmers of the country are currently using this digital technology very well.
