Big agreement between UAE and Qatar, now there will be digital exchange of traffic challan and security data

UAE and Qatar have signed a major agreement to further strengthen their security system. The Home Ministries of both the countries have signed an MoU for the security of data and information. This step will make it easier to work on security projects between the two countries.

Important agreement reached in Doha

This agreement was signed in Doha on 17 June 2026. The document was signed by Major General Khalifa Harib Al Khaili on behalf of the UAE Interior Ministry and Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hattab Al-Kaabi on behalf of the Qatar Interior Ministry. The purpose of this meeting was to increase security cooperation and coordination between the two countries.

Work will be done on these 6 projects

Mainly six projects have been included under this MoU, which will be helpful for the common people and administration:

  • Network linkage
  • Unification of electronic systems of both countries for traffic violations
  • interconnecting traffic systems
  • Simplifying the process of recovery and transfer of traffic challan money
  • Digital exchange of data and fingerprints of deported persons
  • Electronic exchange of anonymous fingerprints information

The government aims to speed up the exchange of security information using new technology. This will increase security and stability in both the countries and coordination of government services will improve.
