Even after two and a half years of the court order, the land was not divided. Only the lawmen and accountants are being harassed. The victim woman has appealed to DM Sonbhadra and District Bar Association Sonbhadra. Taking the matter seriously, the District Bar Association has assured to provide justice to the woman.

The victim woman, Manju Devi, daughter of Sadaphal Chauhan, resident of village Madhupur, Pargana Ahraura, Tehsil and police station Robertsganj, District Sonbhadra, has alleged in the complaint letter given to the DM on June 16, 2026 that the court of Deputy Collector Robertsganj, on October 31, 2023, has transferred her father’s Aarasi No. 856/1 located at Mauja Madhupur, area 0.2920 hectare. A clear order for land partition has been passed. In which the Revenue Inspector and Accountant were asked to go to the spot with the team and demarcate. Despite this, even after two and a half years, the court order is not being followed, rather the order is being disregarded by the lawyers and accountants. Not only this, on father’s complaint, a notice was issued by the Revenue Inspector on June 1, 2026, in which he was directed to reach the measurement along with the head of Madhupur at 8 am on June 8, 2026. But the Revenue Inspector and Accountant did not reach the spot and when the measurement was called by phone, they were continuously harassed by making various excuses. Father is ill, due to which he has to advocate as a woman.

On Wednesday, the victim woman Manju Devi has given a complaint letter in the District Bar Association Sonbhadra office, demanding compliance of the court order.

General Secretary of District Bar Association, Sonbhadra, Rajendra Kumar Yadav Advocate said that the association has taken cognizance of the complaint letter of the woman. Committed to providing justice to the woman.

Media in-charge of District Bar Association Sonbhadra, Rajesh Kumar Yadav Advocate said that there is open contempt of the court order and an attempt to deprive a poor woman of justice. Former General Secretary Pradeep Kumar Maurya Ed said that immediate intervention in the said case should be ensured in letter and spirit of the court order. Here the association makes it clear that if immediate action is not taken then the lawyer community will be forced to protest in support of the victim through legal and democratic means. Delay in justice is tantamount to injustice.

Advocates like Pawan Kumar Singh, Titu Gupta, Mrigraj Singh, Amit Verma, Santosh Kumar Yadav, Rakesh Kumar Singh, Vineeta, Aakriti Nirbhaya, Kiran Singh, Adarsh ​​Dev Pandey, Shahnawaz Alam Khan etc. were present on this occasion.
