Sushmita Mukherjee shared a video on Instagram, in which she spoke openly about her decision to live alone. The actress says in her video- ‘So this conversation is about why I live alone and why I am happy living alone. I am not some sad woman, who was left alone by her family considering her an old woman. Although I am not one to talk about my personal life, I will still tell you.
Sushmita Mukherjee grew up in Delhi
Sushmita Mukherjee further says in her video- ‘I grew up in a joint family in Delhi and my family was very supportive and loving. I like being with family. Then some accidents happened in my life, which hurt me and after that I met my husband, who loved me a lot. Gave me everything I always wanted. I have always wanted a family since childhood. I am not a working woman at heart, my priority has always been family and raised both the children and I tried my best to keep everyone happy, my in-laws, my parents, whoever was around me, I tried to keep everyone happy.

‘Everyone in my family knows that for me family comes first. But now the children have grown up and gone away. I might share his story with you later. Now my husband and I have decided that we have a residence in Orchha (Madhya Pradesh). Both of us started that organization in 2010 and there we work on art-craft. My husband lives there and comes to Mumbai when he has work. When I don’t have work in Mumbai, I go to Orchha and we work together. Now in Vanaprastha, I feel like doing something for the society. This is my thinking, many people are happy living together. I have seen that many people are not happy even while living together, they are scared in their mind, they have side affairs. So I think Live Alone, Live Happy. I just want to tell women at this age to do yoga and keep themselves fit. I do weight lifting, we don’t depend on anyone, we just need to be happy.
