Big fall in gold and silver prices, impact of Federal Reserve’s decision

knews Desk- In the international market, the direct impact of the latest interest rate decision of the US Federal Reserve has been seen on the prices of precious metals. On Thursday, a sharp fall in the prices of both gold and silver metals was recorded, due to which there has been increased agitation among investors.

A huge fall was seen in silver prices on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Silver price fell by more than Rs 8,800 in a single day. After this fall, the price of silver came below the level of Rs 2.45 lakh per kg. Currently, silver was trading at Rs 2,42,967 per kg, down 3.51 percent or Rs 8,840.

A significant decline was also recorded in the prices of gold. On MCX, the price of gold fell by Rs 3,200 or 2.12 percent to Rs 1,50,616 per 10 grams. This decline has affected both the domestic bullion market and commodity trading.

Experts say that uncertainty has increased in the global market after the decision taken by the US Federal Reserve regarding interest rates, which has affected safe investment options like gold and silver. Usually, when the possibility of change or tightening of interest rates increases, investors move out of safe investments and turn to other assets, leading to a fall in gold and silver prices.

Pressure on precious metals is also being seen in the international markets. The strength of the dollar and changes in bond yields have also affected the demand for gold and silver. Its impact is clearly visible on the Indian market as well, where domestic investors also seem cautious.

Experts also believe that price fluctuations may continue in the coming days, as global economic indicators are not completely stable yet. In such a situation, investors are being advised to take decisions with caution.

At present, both gold and silver have fallen from their recent highs, which is likely to impact both the jewelery market and the investment market. Market analysts say that in the coming time, the further policies of the Federal Reserve will decide their direction.
