PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 23rd Installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer approximately Rs 18,880 crore to the accounts of more than 9.44 crore farmers across the country as the 23rd installment of PM‑Kisan Yojana on June 20. This information was given by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on Thursday. In a statement issued by the ministry, it was said that PM Modi will transfer the 23rd installment of PM-Kisan Scheme to the accounts of farmers from Tarakeshwar in Hooghly district of West Bengal.

During this time, he will also inaugurate, dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of many important projects in various sectors including agriculture, rural development, fisheries and railways with the aim of giving new momentum to the resolve of ‘Developed India, Developed West Bengal’.

PM Modi will give many gifts to farmers

along with this he Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme And will launch important initiatives like Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme, Agritech under Digital Agriculture Mission, National Natural Agriculture Mission and Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana, which will give a massive boost to farmers’ income, rural infrastructure and inclusive development and will also change the agricultural landscape of West Bengal.

23rd installment will be released from Bengal

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi This national level event to be held in West Bengal under the chief hospitality of the Government of India will prove to be a historic opportunity for the farmers, rural community and youth. He said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is determined to make Eastern India a strong center of agriculture, infrastructure and industrial development and the program of June 20 is an important step towards implementing this vision.

Benefit to 45 lakh farmers of Bengal

The Union Minister said that under the 23rd installment of PM-Kisan Scheme, more than 45.35 lakh beneficiary farmers in West Bengal alone will receive approximately Rs 907 crore as installment. With this, the total amount distributed so far under the PM-Kisan scheme in the state will exceed Rs 15,055 crore, while the total distribution in the entire country since the inception of the scheme in 2019 will reach above Rs 4.46 lakh crore.

During this, Prime Minister Modi will also launch the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS) in West Bengal, the combined cost of which is about Rs 12,200 crore. During the financial year 2026‑27, a target has been set to provide crop insurance protection to about 1.10 crore farmers on 30 lakh hectares of agricultural land through these schemes, under which crops worth about Rs 28,140 crore will come under the scope of insurance protection.
