He received a message which read – ‘₹1 lakh plus compromise’. Maanvi said, ‘I was so new at that time that I did not know the meaning of ‘compromise’. I replied- ‘Compromise?’ She herself was shocked to see this.
‘Maybe there is a technical term’
He further said, ‘I thought maybe it would be some technical term or some condition related to the project. But when I showed it to a casting director, who was like my mentor, his reaction opened my eyes. He immediately said- ‘Delete it, block it and block this number forever.’
‘Happens more to non-Napo children’
Maanvi also expressed surprise that the proposal came through text message. She said, ‘I was impressed. Usually people talk on the phone so that there is no evidence. But here it was sent directly by writing ‘₹1 lakh plus compromise’. Sharing this anecdote, Maanvi said that such experiences happen more with non-Napo kids, as they have less support system in the industry. They have to learn everything themselves.
