Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai: People have given a lot of love to Varun Dhawan in director David Dhawan’s film ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. This film starring Varun along with Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde has earned more than Rs 55 crore so far. The film has earned Rs 55 crore in the first week itself, but now the mathematics of its collection seems to be going wrong. The main reason behind which are two big Bollywood films which are hitting the theaters today. One of these includes Imtiaz Ali’s film ‘I will return’ and Kangana Ranaut starrer film ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’.

The film’s earnings declined by 10.3% on its 7th day compared to the previous day and earned Rs 2.60 crore from 7,469 shows. With this, the total net collection in India has now reached Rs 36.85 crore, while the gross collection in India has reached Rs 43.75 crore. The film has earned Rs 55 crore worldwide.

‘Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai’ competed with Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bandar’, Butchi Babu Sana’s popular film ‘Peddi’ and Hollywood release ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’. Now that the film has entered its second week, the film will face competition from Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’, Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Main Wapas Aaunga’ and Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Governor’. This situational comedy is David Dhawan’s last directorial film, as he has officially announced his retirement from film making. Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Manish Paul, Kubbra Sait, Manoj Pahwa, Rakesh Bedi, Chunky Pandey and Ali Asgar. ‘Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai’ was released in theaters on June 5, 2026.
