Real estate developer recognized in Vietnam’s Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards for fifth consecutive year
The Top 50 CSA, organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine and announced in mid-June, honors businesses demonstrating strong commitments to sustainable development. Companies are assessed against 14 criteria by a panel of experts from financial institutions, auditing firms and other organizations, with consideration given to their contributions to socio-economic development.
This year, Nam Long was recognized in two categories: E – Sustainable Resource Management and S – Leadership in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Lucas Loh, Group CEO, said the recognition reflects Nam Long’s long-term commitment to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into its business strategy. Rather than treating ESG as a separate framework, the group incorporates these principles throughout the planning and development process.
“As the expectations of investors and homebuyers continue to evolve, sustainable development is no longer optional. It has become a market requirement and an integral part of real estate development,” Loh said.
The group focuses on integrated townships designed to meet real housing demand through comprehensive master planning. Developments are equipped with community facilities, essential services and public spaces, while partnerships with real estate, infrastructure and property management firms aim to support the creation of long-term residential communities.
This development philosophy forms the foundation of what the group describes as “real-value real estate.”

On the environmental front, the developer emphasizes resource efficiency by optimizing energy, water and material use throughout the project lifecycle to reduce carbon emissions.
In April, Solaria Rise, an apartment precinct within the Waterpoint integrated township, received EDGE green building certification from IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, for all four residential towers. According to project data, the development achieved 22% energy savings, 27% water savings and a 33% reduction in embodied energy in construction materials.
“The certification reflects our commitment to sustainable development from the earliest stages of design, master planning, land bank development and landscape planning,” a representative from Nam Long said.
As of 2025, the group has maintained 6.75 hectares of tree nurseries in Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, planted 13,507 new trees and cared for approximately 22,000 mature trees. Green coverage across its operational townships has reached 36%. Water management is also incorporated through the preservation of natural waterways and the development of retention lakes.
This approach can be seen across several projects. Mizuki Park, a 26-hectare township in Ho Chi Minh City, has a building density of 29%, with 10.3 hectares allocated to green spaces and water features. The project preserves existing waterways, including the Lao Canal and Ngang Canal, while incorporating a 1.7-hectare internal canal network.
According to the developer, lower building density and greater permeable green space help improve microclimates, regulate water flow and support long-term property values.

While environmental sustainability is a key focus, the group says community development is equally important.
Over the years, more than 31,000 families have moved into its residential developments. In 2025 alone, the developer delivered 1,119 social housing (EHomeS) and affordable housing (EHome) units. It continues to expand integrated township projects in satellite urban areas, including Izumi City in Dong Nai, with plans that meet the need to live, work, learn, play, and shop.
According to the group, its objective extends beyond housing delivery to fostering social connections and a sense of community. Residents regularly participate in sports events, environmental initiatives and cultural activities. In 2025, these programs attracted approximately 52,700 participants.
Its annual “Swing for Dreams” scholarship program has also continued for 16 consecutive years, providing 1,800 scholarships to students pursuing higher education.

To support its environmental and social commitments, the developer has also strengthened its governance framework. The group has implemented Deloitte’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, PwC’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and human resources policies developed with Mercer.
Despite market volatility, the group reported contracted sales of VND11.855 trillion (US$453 million), consolidated revenue of VND5.645 trillion and profit after tax attributable to shareholders of VND701 billion in 2025. It also continues to expand partnerships with domestic and international organizations to strengthen management capabilities and access to capital.
After more than three decades in operation, the developer says it remains focused on building integrated townships designed to meet real housing demand. Its latest recognition in the Top 50 CSA reflects its ongoing emphasis on sustainable development and long-term value creation.
