Samsung’s new feature has come out in collaboration with AI startup Lift. Through which users can take a picture of a dog or cat with their Samsung Galaxy smartphone. After which Lift’s AI system will analyze that photo and try to identify possible health problems. The company states in its claims that this technology can help in detecting early signs like dental problems, knee dislocation and cataract.
What is Lift and how does it work?
Talking about Lift, it is an AI based health tech startup which has been a part of Samsung’s startup incubation program. Let us tell you that the company has already been providing AI-powered pet health analysis service through its website. But now this technology is being added to the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem. For which users will have to use Samsung SmartThings app and Pet Care service. Which will make health monitoring of your pet easier than before.
Claimed to be up to 97% accurate
AI-based health tools always raise questions as to how accurate the information provided is, but Lift claims that its technology identifies some major health problems with an accuracy of up to 97 percent. But experts agree that it is not a substitute for a veterinarian but it is a very useful tool for initial diagnosis and monitoring.
