A grand beautiful event and Bhandara was organized at Gulachin Temple in the capital Lucknow.

The festival of Bade Mangal is being celebrated with devotion, devotion and enthusiasm in the capital Lucknow. In the same sequence, a grand religious and social program was organized on the occasion of Bada Mangal at the city’s famous south facing Panchmukhi Gulacheen Hanuman Temple, Aliganj. Thousands of devotees participated in Sunderkand recitation, special puja and huge Bhandara organized in the temple premises and received the blessings of Lord Sankatmochan Hanuman ji.

On the occasion of Bada Mangal, a huge crowd of devotees started gathering in the temple premises since morning. The temple was decorated attractively. The entire complex appeared drenched in a devotional atmosphere with beautiful flower decorations, religious flags and electric lights. The entire area echoed with shouts of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bajrangbali ki Jai”.

The program started with formal puja and Sundarkand recitation. Devotees collectively remembered Lord Shri Ram and Hanuman ji by reciting Sunderkand. After this, Hanuman Chalisa and Aarti were organized, in which a large number of devotees participated. During religious rituals, devotees prayed for the happiness, prosperity, health and well-being of their families.

After the religious programs a huge Bhandara was organised. Special arrangements were made for Prasad and food for the devotees in Bhandara. Prasad distribution started from noon and continued till late evening. Long queues of devotees were seen in the temple premises as well as on the surrounding roads. Women, children, elderly and youth took the Prasad in large numbers.

Local devotees say that this Bhandara organized on the occasion of Bada Mangal at Gulacheen Hanuman Temple has remained an important religious tradition of the area for many decades. Every year a large number of people participate in this event and provide support in service works. This time too, special enthusiasm was seen among the devotees.

According to religious beliefs, the day of Bada Mangal is considered very auspicious for worshiping Lord Hanuman. Bade Mangal has special significance in Lucknow and Bhandaras, religious rituals and service functions are organized at various places across the city. This year, due to eight major auspicious days, special enthusiasm and reverence is being seen among the devotees. After a long time, devotees have got a special opportunity to darshan and worship Sankatmochan Hanuman ji on the occasion of eight big Tuesdays.

Many social and religious workers including Tej Narayan Shukla alias Chauwa, Jitendra Rajput, Vishal Shah played an important role in making the event successful. Organizers said that this event is being organized continuously for years with the aim of promoting religious, cultural and social harmony in the society. He expressed his gratitude to all the associates, volunteers and devotees.

During the program, the team of volunteers remained continuously busy in maintaining the facilities and arrangements of the devotees. Special attention was paid to Prasad distribution, drinking water arrangement, seating arrangement and traffic management. Distinguished citizens of the area, social workers and representatives of various religious organizations also participated in the event.

A unique confluence of devotion and service was seen in the temple premises throughout the day. The devotees bowed at the feet of Lord Hanuman and prayed for the happiness, peace, prosperity and public welfare of the state and the country. This grand event of Bade Mangal once again presented the religious and cultural traditions of Lucknow in a lively form.
